Conversation With Your Child!:

I had a wonderful time last evening conversing with my 13yr old girl! We had just attended a NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Preview Workshop together. At the end of the workshop, she asked how can NLP help a person if he doesn't have a goal in life. Interesting point of view as I had met many young teens without a goal in life, or should I say have yet to find their goals in life.

"What is your dream?", I asked. She replied, "What's the point of achieving your dream knowing that at the end of the day, you will die just like everyone else?" Hmmm, very intellectual thought! How many of you have similar conversation with your children? What was your reaction or thought? How did you lead or guide them?

I have always been very keen to work with teenagers besides young children. I had met a number of young teens who are very progressive in their thought process. Sad to say, many of them found themselves isolated from their peers and even their parents. Through my coaching work, I got them to share a bit more about their inner thoughts. Many of them would tell me they have never spoken to an adult in such depth before and wonder why I am interested to listen to them. I felt so grateful that these angels are willing to open their hearts to me!

Mums & Dads, I urge you to quiet your mind and listen to your angels around you! Listen to them without any of your preconceived thoughts or judgements. Allow them to share their hearts with you without any fear of ridiculing or shame. If you are not willing to listen to them, then who will?

When you start to listen and see the world from your teenagers point of view, you will be amazed how much truth there is! Only when you are able to see the world from their perspective will you be able to lead and guide them effectively.

Back to my conversation with my girl, I was looking for the key as to what will inspire her to use Breathwork as a mean to reach within. She shared that she wanted to find answers to all her questions as she has yet to meet an adult who can give her satisfactory answers to all her questions. "Where are the answers to your questions?", I probed. After a long silence, she replied, "Within me!".

Yes, and Breathwork is the mean to help one to find all the answers within oneself! It gave me such great assurance that I am on the right path being a Breathworker! Thanks to my angel!
